Gloria and Meredith

Do you know what fun is? Do you know fun and beautiful combined are? Gloria and Meredith! They are the masterminds behind A Marry Occasion Bridal show at the Peter Knox Conference Center and I LOVE WORKING WITH THESE TWO GORGEOUS WOMEN!

Meredith and I met a few years ago when I wandered into La Dolce Vita Salon in need of a serious brow waxing. Meeting Meredith for the first time was like meeting your long lost sister - you are immediately attracted to her energy and spirit! We started working together taking random photos of hair and makeup, then with weddings and then with the bridal show. It was then that I met Gloria...Glorious Gloria! She works wonder with hair and I'm in awe every time I photograph her working!

I love these two!!

Jack turns two!!

I met Angie from At Your Service Wedding and Events while we were working together for The Hamilton's Wedding. We briefly met during the rehearsal and during the wedding, just hit it off! We really got to know each other when we attended A Marry Occasion Bridal show together and decided to partner up on some wedding packages.

When she told me her son was turning two, I had to go to see this birthday boy!! I had a blast and envy Angie so much at her attention to detail!

Happy Birthday Jack Jack!

Preacherman

Ray has just fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming the pastor of his very own church. When he asked me to help him out with a couple of head shots for his church website, I couldn't resist having him bring his kids out for some fun too!

Just like most kids - when I first met them, they were so shy and so quiet. By the end of the photo session, I wasn't able to keep up with them as we played in the gorgeous sun!

I love these kids and I am so unbelievably happy for Ray for becoming Mr. Preacherman...as we've dubbed him!

Kylie and Daniel

Two of the cutest redheads you'll ever meet!

Kylie just turned two and we had a dramatic session! It happened to be a bit chilly out at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion the day we scheduled our shoot. I didn't get a lot of smiles from Kylie!

But I was able to get some cheese out of Daniel that day!!

Since it was such a chilly day, we decided to reschedule for a prettier day...and a day that Kylie wasn't so "un-smiley!" I think we chose a pretty darn good day!

Kayla is graduating!!

I became friends with Michelle when we lived near Boston, MA a few years ago. We both had the random pleasure of relocating to the south around the same time - She moved to Simpsonville, SC and I moved to North Augusta, SC - only a few hours from each other!

When she told me her daughter was graduating this year, I insisted on making the drive up to Simpsonville to photograph her beautiful daughter, Kayla!

We had a lot of fun hanging out and just "winging it" around town!

We're still around!

Gideon Park Photography has been busy the past several months with a new addition to the family, which is why the blog posts have been sparse!

Allorah Li Gideon was born on October 9, 2009 and we have had such a wonderful time welcoming her to the world. She has taught us so much and we love being parents!!

We have still been photographing, but with limited time on our hands, haven't been able to blog!

We'll be posting up some of our recent shoots and be keeping them up to date from now on!!

For pictures of our new addition - please visit our project blog site 365 days of Allie Gideon.

Day 203 - Allie's photoshoot

It was just a matter of time before this happened..right?! She's getting so big...too big, too fast. It makes my heart soar and ache at the same time. There's still no teeth, so I had to get that toothless gummy smile before the teeth invaded!
